Full Job Description: We are seeking highly motivated and self-driven applicants for a postdoctoral fellow at SMT lab in University of Delaware. The NIH funded position is immediately available and will remain open until filled.
The position is focused on pluripotent stem cell biology/synthetic biology – the person should have a good track record in stem cell biology techniques and molecular biology. Animal handling is desired. Focus on synthetic biology/embryology/genetic engineering is desirable.
Role in Lab:
- The successful candidate will design and execute experiments, prepare manuscripts, guide graduate/undergrad students.
- Successful candidate will conduct experiments in animal models (rats/ mice /chickens) for drug delivery and microsurgery applications.
- Write and contribute to grant proposals.
Research overview of SMT Lab: Our research is very interdisciplinary, and we work in the interface of physics, chemistry, and biology. Briefly, we design, synthesize, and control (physical control [magnetic, light-driven] and computational control [programing]) microparticles that can perform different tasks such as drug delivery, tissue engineering and cell engineering in animal models. Salary: Negotiable with experience.
