Business Intelligence Platform Administrator must be able to manage and optimize our Power BI environment, ensuring efficient data visualization, reporting, and analytics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing Power BI architecture, security, performance, and governance, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making. This role requires a deep understanding of Power BI infrastructure, data connectivity, and best practices in analytics deployment. The Power BI Administrator will play a crucial role in maintaining a high-performing, scalable, and secure Power BI ecosystem that enables business users to derive insights from data efficiently. Additionally, the role involves supporting and training users, enforcing governance policies, troubleshooting system issues, and staying updated with the latest advancements in Power BI and related technologies. The successful candidate will have strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a strategic mindset to enhance the organization's business intelligence capabilities. The Business Intelligence Platform Administrator will communicate with a primary customer base of analysts, data scientists, and citizen developers. The employee will access information considered 'confidential and protected' and therefore must comply with all relevant policies and procedures related to the use, disclosure, and security of this information as well as policies related to security of the organization's information systems. As a result, the individual is required to complete mandatory annual compliance with privacy and security.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university plus two (2) years of relevant work experience required however, an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- A Bachelor’s degree may be substituted for experience
Minimum Job Experience:
- Two years of analytic tool administration experience with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Power BI (or similar reporting tool)
- Job Related, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: With a focus amongst several departments across the enterprise/health system.
- Strong problem solving, quantitative, and analytical abilities
- Hands-on experience with large relational databases/data warehousing, including ability to query databases using SQL or similar language (experience with Epic CLARITY, Caboodle, and/or Epic Cogito Cloud preferred)
- Experience with the following report writing and visualization tools preferred PowerBI, SAP Business Objects (WebI), Tableau or similar report writing and visualization tools
- Excel skills, including complex functions, formulas, and formatting
- Proven ability to work with and track large amounts of data (Millions of records) with accuracy
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills
- Demonstrated ability to provide information in an easy-to-understand format
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Registrations, certifications, and/or licenses preferred or achieved within 12 months of hire certifications/trainings relating to the following topics/areas: Microsoft PowerBI, Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft Power Apps, related Azure training/certifications
Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a 'Non-frequent driver' NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job.
