Overview
Ensures coordination and continuity of patient care for transplant patients in order to maintain organized and efficient care and provide support to staff and other health care professionals. Responsible for identifying the patient's alterations in health; assessing the patient's response to treatment protocols; communicating appropriate data to physician staff; implementing nursing interventions based upon established treatment protocols; and anticipating potential outcomes for patients at risk for complications. Must demonstrate ability to assess data reflective of the patient's age, status, and diagnosis, and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to age-specific needs and organ(s) transplanted and provide care according to protocols and within practice of nursing. The Bone Marrow Transplant Coordinator provides the care coordination to achieve the organization's mission of excellent patient care and nursing's vision of setting a new standard of excellence in autonomous and accountable nursing practice committed to patient advocacy and innovative patient care in a climate of trust and collaboration.Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Minimum of two years experience in nursing, preferably with experience in critical care or transplantation Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: None provided Licensure/Certification/Registration: BSN required. Current RN license in the State of Florida.
