Job Description:

The Diagnostic Imaging Service at the UF Veterinary Hospital is looking for a Veterinary Assistant! Your role? Support our veterinarians and technicians in capturing essential radiologic images, aiding in accurate diagnoses. Be a vital part of our team and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment!
Primary Responsibilities:

Support veterinarians and technicians.

Assist veterinary staff, students, and doctors.

Job Duties Include:

Patient handling and positioning for Diagnostic Imaging.

Properly identifying and safely transporting patients.

Using proper restraint techniques.

Weighing patients and ensuring accurate records.

Practicing radiation safety (ALARA).

Supporting the program assistant and manager.

Managing biohazardous items and lab specimens.

Checking and stocking supplies.

Cleaning and disinfecting equipment, cages, and runs.

Sweeping, mopping, and taking out trash/recyclables.

Processing laundry as needed.

Expected Salary:

$15 /hr

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in veterinary medicine and/or diagnostic imaging
