Maintenance Supervisor
Job Description:In collaboration with Manufacturing, QC group, and GMP Director Manage facilities cleaning maintenance activities, supply chain activities, good purchase, equipment PM & calibration program in support of UF GMP facilities operations.
Oversight of Facilities Staff-
Works with external vendors to facilitate and or escort the while on site, help with generation of the appropriate documentation for PM and calibration.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Expected Salary:$60,000 - $65,000
Minimum Requirements:Completion of an approved apprenticeship program in a recognized trade and relevant experience to total five years; or a high school diploma or equivalent and five years of relevant experience. Appropriate vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Preferred Qualifications:- MS or 10 years science related, core specific advanced training and work experience and/or
post-graduate coursework.
- At least 3 years in core facility specific applications and at least 2 years
of that in research-based technology.
-Work experience in multi-user core facility preferred.
-Core or technology specific licensure and/or certifications where applicable.
-Additionally yearly certificate and
compliance training if required.
EDUCATION & TRAINING
- bachelor’s degree in health sciences, medical engineering, biology and at least four years direct
experience in a clean room environment with GMP involvement.
KNOWLEDGE
- Working understanding of Gene and Cell Therapy concepts
-Experience with clean room work and GLP/GMP regulations, as well as mammalian cell culture and
virology
SKILLS
- Detail oriented
- Strong organizational skills
-Supervisory soft and communication skill
PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be able to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
