Overview
This position is responsible for leading, planning and performing timely and accurate insurance billing and collections revenue cycle operations for UFH- including Shands, Florida Recovery Center, and Vista. Establishes and meets goals for billing and collection performance, account maintenance, improvement initiatives, identification and prevention of denials, interaction with third party payers and resolution of issues. Responsible for leadership, direction, and focus in applying patient accounts standards and principles. This is ~$500M portfolio of accounts receivable. Responsible for management, training and development of ~40 FTE performing this work.This position is also responsible for leading a PFS Revenue Cycle Training Team to ensure Epic Resolute users have the tools and training to perform their job. The Manager ensures Epic training region is current version and training documentation is updated after each upgrade.Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: * Associate degree in HIT, Health Administration, Business, Finance or related field required. Bachelor degree in a related discipline is preferred. * Minimum of 3 years experience in a revenue cycle operations role * Minimum of 2 years experience in a management role. * Proven experience in health care billing, working with third party payers, revenue cycle improvement projects, and delivering results related to revenue cycle process and financial outcomes. This includes knowledge of coding classification systems and standards. * Outstanding management abilities and a demonstrated track record of leadership and performance. * Strong quantitative, analytic, and problem-solving skills to evaluate all aspects of a problem or opportunity and draw valid conclusions to make or facilitate appropriate and timely decisions. * Excellent oral and written communication skills and able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and a strong attention to detail * EPIC experience preferred. * Proficiency in software applications including MS Office required.
