About the College/Unit/Department
The Department of Communication Studies is a flagship program in the discipline that serves more than 300 undergraduate majors and approximately 40 graduate students in our joint MA-PhD program. The recipients of numerous awards, including the Public Address book prize, the Diamond Anniversary Award, and the Douglas Ehninger Distinguished Rhetorical Scholar Award, our faculty members' scholarship regularly appears in the field's best book series and journals. Many of our faculty are members of one or more editorial boards and hold leadership positions in national and regional professional organizations.
