Position Information Classification Title Accounting Paraprofessional / Professional FLSA Non-Exempt FTE 1.00 Minimum Qualifications Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate.   • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Two (2) years of related experience OR associate degree
  • Four (4) years of related experience OR six (6) years of related experience
  • Working knowledge of Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and IRS standards
  • Position Summary Reporting to the Associate Director of Gift Accounting, this position reviews, commits, and adjusts revenue in the donor database; fields campus and donor requests for payment information; and supports the 4H Foundation's pledge portfolio. Duties are varied in nature, requiring independent action and judgment. A working knowledge of Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and IRS standards is expected to support job functions. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and / or Competencies

  • Review cash, check, and credit card contributions to UGA Foundation and record transaction details in the fundraising database. Analyze documentation provided by donor and / or benefitting department and determine designation most closely aligning with donor intent.
  • Match constituents to existing donor records. Update biographical information as needed. Establish new records for first-time donors.
  • Ensure accurate donor designation. Review requests from donors and / or UGA departments for transaction adjustments and refunds. Make appropriate entries, as necessary.
  • Percentage of time 40 Duties / Responsibilities

  • Independently analyze, review, and enter payments and pledges made to the GA 4H Foundation. Provide advice and expertise to 4H Foundation on UGAF, CASE, and IRS policies relating to recording and maintaining a pledge portfolio. Recognize gifts needing Gift Acceptance Committee (GAC) approval and route for the committee's review.
  • Percentage of time 20 Duties / Responsibilities

  • Review and enter Career Center revenue. Use judgement to recognize charitable payments received in event revenue channels (Stripe).

  • Field campus and donor inquiries regarding gift processing and receipting.
  • Record one off giving campaign transactions and auction proceeds.
