| Position Summary | The primary responsibility of the Phlebotomist is collecting and processing blood samples and collecting bio-marker data (e.g., blood pressure, height, weight, hip/waist measures). Other duties include obtaining informed consent, administering surveys, distributing participant incentives, and completing all visit paperwork. |
| Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies | Certification as a phlebotomist. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to implement procedures in compliance with research protocols. Demonstrate basic word processing and data entry skills. Exceptional organizational skills. |
| Physical Demands | Sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 20 lbs and carrying up to 25lbs. Travel to participants' homes and other community locations. |
