Position Summary
Assumes responsibility for overseeing the development and execution of an integrated, multi-channel marketing strategy that supports institutional priorities and promotes the University and offer of the Division of Student Success (DSS) to prospective students, parents, alumni, donors, the campus community and the public. Performs all duties in full support of the University's mission, understanding that the positive and effective execution of these duties are instrumental to the education of the University's students.
Hiring Range
Starting salary is budgeted between $50,000 to $54,000
Key Responsibilities
Manages all aspects of strategic marketing collateral development as directed by annual plans developed by the Office of Marketing and Communication and the Division for Student Success. Establishes, cultivates and effectively collaborates with internal and external constituencies in an effort to conduct research, identify photography and collect supporting assets for creation and update of publications, social media, e-communications and website content., Executes and oversees marketing communications plans in support of strategic initiatives of the Division and the University.
Serves as the lead project manager for marketing materials and collateral, from concept through production. Facilitates the concept, design and execution of strategic communications in alignment with institutional, campaign and admission cycles. Reviews and communicates content, design and layout in an effort to comply with established institutional policies and brand guidelines. Works with the team to proofread all stages of production and ensure corrections, updates and changes are incorporated into final copy for a high-quality product.
Supports and promotes events which enhance the student experience and support strategic initiatives and long-term goals. This includes promoting events by confirming up-to-date information and effective event descriptions are strategically positioned on University websites and calendar tools. Develops and manages content for social networks/platforms, UNotes and related websites supporting the Division. Serves as the web content manager.
Proactively sets and maintains the production schedule for recruitment and promotional efforts related to DSS. Identifies creative, copywriting, editing or other needs as necessary and appropriate. Effectively communicates expectations regarding content and design of publications and websites as well as quantities and deadlines and follows production through to completion within established timeframes.
Manages social media content, strategy, and execution, for areas within DSS (Career Services, Center for Student Success, OSEI, Office of Residential Life, etc.) while working collaboratively with social media content creators to elevate and execute a robust presence for DSS and DSS initiatives. Strategizes with partners to creatively incorporate social media content into comprehensive campaigns whenever opportunities arise.
Tracks and evaluates marketing activities for effectiveness using measurable goals and outcomes.
Recommends and adapts strategies and procedures for future planning and goals.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
