- Applicants seeking short-term or part-time work with the University of Hawai'i may apply for Casual Hire positions, which include administrative, professional, and technical (APT) or instructional-type positions. Because of the temporary nature of these appointments, Casual Hire employees are not eligible for most benefits as provided to regular BOR and Civil Service employees (i.e. paid holidays / leave). Casual Hire appointments may last for up to 89 days for full-time employees, and up to 1 calendar year for part-time employees.

- Under the general supervision of the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs (AVPSA), develops and administers operational aspects of the Health and Wellness awareness program for the 10 campuses of the University of Hawai'i System.
- Works closely with the AVPSA, UH System Basic Needs staff, and vice chancellors, health directors and mental health directors across the 10 UH System campuses to identify available resources and gaps in programming. Researches, collects, organizes, and distributes available data.
- Assists with developing proactive outreach and education programming and media products / events for faculty, staff, and student awareness of available resources. Creates, manages and submits information to the unit's communication personnel for sharing via email, on the program website, and via social media.
- Assists with organizing professional development opportunities for students, student affairs professionals and other UH employees on related topics.

Duties and Responsibilities :
5. Assists with logistical support for meetings, events, and conferences coordinated around supporting the health and wellness needs across the UH System.
6. Travel to the 10 campuses of the University of Hawai'i System may be required.
7. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications :
1. Possession of a baccalaureate degree in Education, Social Sciences, Communication, or related field and 1 year of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for project / program planning and management; or any equivalent combination of education and / or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated.
2. Functional knowledge of principles, practices and techniques in the area of health and wellness programming as demonstrated by knowledge, understanding and ability to apply concepts, terminology.
3. Functional knowledge and understanding of principles, theories, federal and state laws, rules, regulations and systems associated with health and wellness programming.
4. Demonstrated ability to recognize problems, identify possible causes and resolve the full range problems that may commonly occur in the area of health and wellness programming.
5. Demonstrated ability to understand oral and written documentation, write reports and procedures, and communicate effectively in a variety of situations.
6. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations, groups, team members and individuals.
7. Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer and apply word processing software.
8. Ability to travel independently in a timely and efficient manner, to various campuses statewide (including inter-island)
