Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach courses in sensation/perception, survey of psychology, statistics and research methods, and courses within the candidate’s area of specialization.
- Provide academic advising to students.
- Conduct program of scholarly research.
- Participate in department, academic, university and community service.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in psychology or related discipline from an accredited university by the time of employment.
- Demonstrated recent experience in undergraduate teaching.
- Ability to teach sensation/perception.
- Evidence of current research productivity.
- Clear potential for developing a strong program of research in sensation/perception.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Documented excellence in teaching courses listed under Duties
- Ability to teach learning and motivation, cognitive psychology or introduction to biopsychology.
- Experience in mentoring undergraduate students.
- Strong research record as evidenced by empirical publication in recognized scholarly journals and research grants in the area of sensation/perception.
