****Applicants seeking short-term or part-time work with the University Hawai'i may apply for Casual Hire positions, which include administrative, professional, and technical (APT) or instructional-type positions. Because of the temporary nature of these appointments, Casual Hire employees are not eligible for most benefits as provided to regular BOR and Civil Service employees such as paid leave and holidays. Casual Hire appointments may last for up to 89 days for full-time employees, and up to 1 calendar year for part-time employees.

Other Conditions: Position is a temporary casual hire position and offers no benefits, hours not to exceed 19.75 hours per week. Continuous recruitment until programmatic needs are met.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Reports to the Assistant Media Relations Director of assigned sport.
- Maintain and document game/competition statistics for assigned sport.
- Operate scoreboard and/or computer programs, as needed and assigned.
- Must have knowledge and understanding or rules and statistics of designed sport.
- Ability to think and work under time-sensitive situations.
- Must be able to work weekday, weekends, holidays and nights when needed as many events are scheduled on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
- Maintain collaborative working relationships with administrators, employees and coaches in the department and appropriate members of the media, donors and other individuals interested in the sports program.
- Know, recognize, and comply with the laws, policies, rules, and regulations governing the University of Hawaii and its employees, and the rules of the NCAA and affiliated conferences as now constituted or as may be amended in the future.
- Immediately advises the Director of Athletics or designee if you have reasonable cause to believe violations, whether by employees or students, have occurred or will occur.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated.
- Knowledge of sports that incumbent will be assigned to.
- Must be able to work weekday, weekends, holidays and nights when needed as many events are scheduled on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
