Duties and Responsibilities- Assists Principal Investigator with training and research on a cross-disciplinary project involving geology and astronomy (in the area of marine geology, astrochronology, and cyclostratigraphy).
- Develops experience and expertise in analyzing models, developing code, and writing reports.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree with a focus in geology, astronomy, physics, numerics, or equivalent subject field
- By the date of hire, enrollment in the graduate oceanography program at UH Manoa (applicants who are not currently enrolled may submit a CV as long as they concurrently apply for the program, see link below)
- Be able to work independently and in a team setting
- Poses excellent communication skills
Desirable Qualifications- Quantitative skills or a background in physics, astronomy, numerics, or equivalent subject field.
