Duties and Responsibilities
Develop beam dynamics simulation for the UH linac and FEL.
Conduct research on beam Physics and FEL Physics.
- Operate the UH linac and FEL facility under supervision, and verify theoretical calculation and simulations with experimental measurements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Physic, Astronomy or equivalent subject field
- Must be a current graduate student in the College of Natural Sciences, UHM
- Must have programming skills.
- Ability to comply with lab safety protocols and work with others.
Desirable Qualifications
Background in accelerator physics.
Has prior programming experience in python/matlab/labview
Must have experience with SolidWorks.
Must have experience with vacuum work.
