Temporary/Permanent: TemporaryOther Conditions: Lecturer applicant pool for future semesters [Academic Year/Spring/Fall 2024-2025]; temporary, part-time work, contingent upon student enrollment, position availability and funding. Must be available to teach courses during the day, evening, weekend, and/or via distance learning, as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach assigned courses in Administration of Justice.
- Maintain a minimum of one office hour per week for each course taught.
- Prepare course syllabi and reports related to teaching and student progress.
- Juris Doctorate degree or Master’s degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or related social science field.
- Demonstrated teaching effectiveness.
- Teaching or work experience in the area of criminal justice.
Desirable Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or related social science field, or ABD status for Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or related social science field.
- Demonstrated excellence in university-level online and face-to-face instruction.
- Demonstrated excellence teaching Administration of Justice courses, including Intro to Admin of Justice, Criminal Justice, Criminal Law and Procedure, Policing and Punishment, Crime and Society, Research Methodology, and Global Crime.
