Other Conditions: For placement in lecturer pool beginning Fall 2024, Spring 2025, and Summer 2025. Positions are part-time, temporary, non-tenure, and contingent upon course offerings, sufficient student enrollment, position clearance, and availability of funding. Must be available to teach courses during the day, evening, weekend, and/or via distance learning, as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct lectures and labs in the kinesiology and exercise science program, that includes practicals and physical activities.
- Maintain a minimum of one office hour per week for each course taught.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a related field from an accredited college or university (degree fully completed at time of application) or any combination of education/training/experience that equates to this credential for purposes of providing instruction in Kinesiology and Exercise Science.
- Potential or demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate courses in areas such as various physical activity courses, injury prevention, exercise physiology, motor control, strength and conditioning, etc.
Desirable Qualifications
- PhD in kinesiology, exercise science or related field.
- Experience teaching kinesiology or exercise science courses at the undergraduate level.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Expertise in the physical activity course that is going to be taught (if applicable)
