For placement in the lecturer applicant pool for the Spring and Fall semesters, 2023. Positions are part-time, temporary, non-tenure, and contingent upon course offerings, sufficient student enrollment, position clearance, and availability of funds. May be for day, evening, or weekend offerings, on- and off-campus (e.g., clinical settings).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct lectures and training in the Bachelor of Science in the Nursing (BSN) program and/or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program, to include clinical practicums.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
- Must meet the requirements to apply for Hawaii RN licensure
- Must meet health requirements to work in a hospital clinical setting (vaccinations, titers, etc)
- Acute care experience
- To be eligible to teach in the DNP program, one must hold a minimum of a doctoral degree in a nursing related field (if there are no applicants meeting this MQ, those not meeting the MQ may be considered on an exception basis.
Desirable Qualifications:- Acute care experience in medical/surgical or Emergency Room departments.
- Extensive experience with acute care adult health clinical instruction in BSN nursing and/or DNP program(s).
- Master’s of Science in Nursing for teaching in the BSN program.
