Description
Directs the activities of the Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) Operations Department for UH and UHS, which includes preparation of mandated state reporting on a monthly, annual and biennial basis; oversight of HUB compliance programs; oversight and development of HUB Outreach and training programs; and oversight and development of internal training programs to maximize HUB utilization.
Requires a minimum of seven (7) years of directly job-related experience.

Description
Directs the activities of the Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) Operations Department for UH and UHS, which includes preparation of mandated state reporting on a monthly, annual and biennial basis; oversight of HUB compliance programs; oversight and development of HUB Outreach and training programs; and oversight and development of internal training programs to maximize HUB utilization.
- Oversees all aspects of the university's HUB Operations Department to help ensure that university goals and state requirements are met.
- Prepares HUB and MBE/WBE reports for the UH website, the Comptroller's Office, the LBB, and other state and federal agencies as needed.
- Develops compliance programs and procedures for ensuring compliance with HUB Subcontracting requirements.
- Develops and directs the implementation of policies and procedures related to procurement and the HUB program.
- Develops and oversees internal training programs to facilitate HUB utilization.
- Serves as the HUB liaison between campus departments, the Comptroller's Office, vendors, and supplier organizations.
- Assists current and prospective university vendors develop HUB plans and initiatives.
- Facilitates the creation of HUB Mentor/Projects Agreements between prime contractors and HUB vendors and directs the oversight of these relationships.
- Develops external outreach and training programs and represents the University to the public, vendors and university community in HUB related activities.
- Organizes HUB forums.
- Performs other job-related duties as required.
Requires a minimum of seven (7) years of directly job-related experience.
