What are the responsibilities and job description for the HVAC Operator/Mechanic I position at University of Houston?
Duties:
Makes repairs to building HVAC systems, rebuilding of pumps, replacing shaft bearings, etc.
Performs preventative maintenance procedures to HVAC equipment in accordance to established schedules.
Maintains a clean and safe work environment by sweeping, mopping, painting, etc.
Monitors building automation systems, energy management system, and computer for alarms and trouble calls.
Completes equipment inspection logs, visually monitors operation and status of HVAC systems.
Responds to hot and cold calls from all campus locations, makes adjustments of repairs as required.
Checks to insure correct water treatment protocol for all cooling tower and closed loop systems and performs related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
High School diploma, GED or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Current, valid Texas driver's license. (Motor vehicle background check will be required before an offer is extended.)
All positions at the University of Houston-System are security sensitive and will require a criminal history check.
