This position will manage events– from pre-event planning to post-event clean up and debriefing. Ideal candidate must be able to load and unload supplies for events. They must also be comfortable setting up and tearing down for events as needed. This position will coordinate and provide administrative support to the Office of Student Services while managing the logistics of the unit’s operations, including admissions, recruitment, advising, and student success.
Primary work location: works in an office environment
Typical work occurs during business hours Monday through Friday, however this position may require flexible hours as needed to include evenings and weekends serving students onsite, virtual, on and off campus environments.
The position is physically comfortable, the individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc.
Must be able to stand for periods of time during
Must have the ability to move items up to 40 lbs.
Complies with all UH System policies and procedures
Must be able to drive to pick up items for events

- Plans and develops procedures for administering a small or medium-sized department or program.
- Oversees program expenditures and ensures adherence to budget.
- Provides guidance to subordinate staff and evaluates performance.
- May prepare or participate in the creation of abstracts, research reports, funding proposals, operations and procedure manuals, and other written material and documentation.
- Reviews reports of budgets and activities.
- Prepares ad hoc reports as needed.
- May administer grants and grant-related related communications, scholarships and other operations.
- Develops, implements and maintains appropriate policies and procedures.
- May serve as property custodian for the department.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
