Duties May Include
- Prepare and test samples according to established protocols
- Operate, maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and instrumentation
- Document test results accurately and maintain organized records
- Assist in developing and updating standard operating procedures
- Participate in quality control processes, including testing and verification procedures
- Perform general lab housekeeping to maintain a clean and efficient work environment
- Other duties as assigned
- One year performing tests in a laboratory setting
- Using basic laboratory techniques, equipment and procedures
- Working independently and collaboratively within a team
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a physical science field may substitute for the above experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- None
- Bachelor’s Degree in soil science, or a closely related field
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and protocols
- Basic understanding of laboratory safety protocols
- Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and regulations
- Reporting results and discussing findings
- Analytical skills
- Ability to carry, lift or otherwise move items weighing up to 50 pounds
