Position Summary:
The EdD Program seeks a dedicated Clinical Associate Professor to join our academic team, bridging theory and practice to prepare EdD candidates for real-world application of improvement science and applied methodologies in organizational settings. Clinical Faculty members support the professional development of doctoral students by sharing real-world expertise, mentoring students in applied research, teaching courses, and guiding practical aspects of leadership and administration. This is a non-tenured faculty position with the rank of associate professor. Academic unit will be determined by the finalist hired. The position will hold rank within an appropriate academic unit within one of the units within the College of Education Health and Human Sciences at the University of Idaho.

EHHS is home to over 1000 students and 60 full-time faculty across three departments - Curriculum and Instruction; Leadership and Counseling; and Movement Sciences. In addition, we house several research and outreach centers including the Center on Disabilities and Human Development, TRIO Inspire, and the Doceo Center.

Administrative Summary:
The College of Education, Health & Human Sciences at the University of Idaho seeks an experienced, innovative, and collaborative leader to serve as the Program Director for the Doctor of Education (EdD) in Learning, Leadership & Innovation program. The Program Director will play a critical role in shaping the program vision, fostering a rigorous learning environment, and supporting student success. This faculty role involves oversight of the EdD program, including ensuring academic excellence, operational efficiency, and alignment with the Universitys mission and the Colleges goals. The position involves teaching, mentoring, administrative responsibilities, faculty collaboration, and student engagement. Administrative duties will be compensated with a 15% base salary stipend.
Contingency Description:
This administrative appointment or the administrative portion of the faculty appointment is temporary. Employee acknowledges and agrees that in the event there is no longer a need for the administrative assignment, as determined by University in its sole discretion, University may change this Agreement and remove the administrative salary and/or course release during the contract year and employee may return to their faculty appointment, upon 60 days written notice.

Minimum Education/Degree Required:
Listed degree qualification is required at time of hire.
Required Qualifications:
- An earned doctorate (EdD or PhD) in education, leadership or a closely related field.
- A scholarly record commensurate with a clinical associate professor in an academic unit within EHHS at U of I.
- Eligible for academic appointment in a department within the College of Education and Health and Human Sciences at the University of Idaho subject to normal internal vetting processes.
- Experience in higher education, online teaching, advising, and administrative leadership.
- Experience with EdD program structure, curriculum development, and current trends in the Education Doctorate.
- Experience with program evaluation and data-informed decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience working with adult and non-traditional learners.
- Experience at a Carnegie Project for the Education Doctorate (CPED) institution.
- Record of engagement with organizations that reflect current trends and challenges in various fields served by the program.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring students through dissertation or thesis work.
