Position Overview:
Under the direction of the Access Services Manager, the incumbent works with the Access Services team to oversee and support student employees during evening and night shifts, circulate materials and assist library users, coordinate U of I Summit consortial lending and borrowing operations, participate in maintaining the safety and security of the library building during night hours, coordinate with data and digital services personnel to load, update, and maintain data in the Librarys digital platforms and assist the Access Services Manager with special projects.
The incumbent will work the following shifts or similar:
Academic year: Sunday - Thursday, 5:00 p.m. - 2:00 a.m.
Holiday breaks: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Summer: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
(Hours may vary slightly depending on staffing needs.)

Required Experience:
- Customer service experience
- Learning, adapting, and using technology in a professional setting
- Experience with library systems, services or processes
Required Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Other:
- None
Additional Preferred:
- Experience using integrated library systems such as Alma
- Some supervisory experience
- Experience providing library public services in an academic or university environment
