The Department of Medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria, in collaboration with OSF HealthCare, seeks an academic medical oncologist to join a growing department known for clinical excellence and innovative educational programs. The Department of Medicine seeks to enhance and expand its training programs through the implementation of an ACGME accredited hematology / medical oncology fellowship program. The position requires experience and knowledge of regulations governing resident / fellow education and / or excellence and experience in basic / translational research in the field of oncology to support the scholarly requirements of the program. The candidate will teach fellows, residents and medical students at a 650-bed, tertiary care, academic medical center and in the new, state of the art OSF Cancer Institute.

Duties and Responsibilities
Patient Care
- Diagnose, treat, and manage cancer patients, providing high-quality oncology care.
- Develop personalized treatment plans using chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies.
- Coordinate / collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (radiologists, pathologists, surgeons) to optimize patient care.
- Utilize EPIC Electronic Health Records.
