Position Summary
This position conducts research by preparing literature reviews and grant submissions and assisting with data collection, coding, cleaning, and descriptive results.

This position is specific to cancer survivorship, digital health interventions, and health promotion (diet, physical activity) research. It includes pre- and post-research activities. The candidate will help facilitate IRB approvals for research projects and grant submissions. The candidate will also assist in participant recruitment, screening, scheduling, testing, data collection, and analysis, as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform surveys, interviews, or other quantitative and qualitative methods according to established research protocols.
  • Prepare data for analysis. Perform descriptive analysis and document results.
  • May conduct literature searches.
  • Maintain detailed records of results and prepare written reports.
  • Maintain and process required paperwork and regulatory documents.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in other projects as assigned.
  • Additional Research Duties:
  • Completes required documentation and complies with regulatory agencies through all stages of the research project.
  • May assist with protocol development.
  • Enters, organizes, and cleans data.
  • Obtain consent from participants.
  • Executes other miscellaneous details of the studies.
  • Additional Communication Duties:
  • Maintain open communication channels between the Principal Investigator(s) and the Institutional Review Board.
  • Collaborate and maintain communication channels between the Principle Investigator(s) and technology partners.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

  • Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in social sciences or related field required.
    • Knowledge of fundamental research concepts, practices, and procedures.
    • Entry-level knowledge of research methods.


    Preferred Qualifications
    • Master's degree in social sciences or public health.
    • Knowledge of clinical trials, qualitative, and survey methodology concepts, practices, and procedures.
