The Department of Medicine and the Division of Cardiology at the University of Illinois, College of Medicine (Chicago) are seeking a full-time eligible Non-Invasive Cardiologist Faculty. The position is for a non-invasive cardiologist with advanced imaging training in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance (CMR).
Duties & Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be level 3 certified in CMR and have a strong interest in and contribute to an active and growing CMR program. Additionally, the candidate should be able to contribute to multimodality imaging interpretation with echocardiography reading and performing transesophageal echocardiography. Cardiac CT imaging is a plus. Additional clinical responsibilities will include supporting the inpatient cardiology service and the outpatient cardiology clinic along with significant opportunities for resident and fellow education as well as patient care for a traditionally underserved population. This position will support the University of Illinois Chicago/UI Health care system and also have opportunities to support the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center. Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned. In addition to the primary clinical role, there is an exciting opportunity for a qualified candidate to assume the position of General Cardiology Fellowship Director, contingent upon experience and qualifications. Ideal candidates must hold a degree in MD, DO, or equivalent, have completed an ACGME accredited cardiology fellowship program, and hold board certification in cardiology and Level 3 Cardiac MR and echocardiography certification. The individual should have clinical, scholarly, educational, and personal skills to contribute to an active academic division.
