McKinley Health Center aims to provide high-quality ambulatory healthcare and health education to students and medical expertise to University leadership. Duties & Responsibilities
This is a 100% full-time Academic Professional position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after 5/1/2025. The budgeted salary range for the position is $106,969.68 - $130,179.40.

Job Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Pharmacy Services
- Dispenses pharmaceuticals and medications prescribed by McKinley providers and included in the Health Center formulary.
- Counsels patients regarding their drug therapy and possible side effects.
- Checks patient medication profiles to avoid harmful drug interactions.
- Operates Pharmacy computer system, including data entry, maintenance, back-up and generation of reports.
- Prepares and maintains Pharmacy control records and reports.
- Pharmacy Security
- Secures emergency stocks of drugs, when needed, from area pharmacies.
- Locks and unlocks the Pharmacy when on duty during opening or closing; arms and disarms security system as needed.
- Other
- Participates in Quality Assessment activities as assigned.
- Responsible and accountable to support and ensure a culture of safety, quality and risk management including compliance with ethics.
- Assume appropriate related additional duties to further the mission of the unit.
- B.S. in Pharmacy. Illinois Pharmacy License.
- Current working knowledge of pharmacy practice and law.
- Ability to counsel students and consult with clinicians regarding drug therapy, drug interactions, and side effects.
- Ability to communicate effectively with pharmacy technicians and other staff.
