UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS FOUNDATION has an immediate opening for an Coordinator, Gift Documentation
The University of Illinois Foundation (Foundation) is the official fundraising and private gift-receiving organization of the University of Illinois (University). It works closely with alumni and friends, faculty and staff, corporations and foundations, as well as campus development professionals to create fundraising programs and opportunities that benefit the University.
The role facilitates the process for documenting charitable gifts made to the University of Illinois Foundation (UIF) for the benefit of the three universities of the University of Illinois System. As a member of the gift planning operations team, the role drafts agreements and works with advancement colleagues across the System to help ensure that donors' intentions for giving to the University are accurately documented and that the priorities of the University are financially supported.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Facilitates the process for documenting charitable gifts made to the UIF in partnership with central and unit development staff from all three universities of the University of Illinois System, including drafting donor gift agreements and other forms of gift documentation in conformance with approved documentation guidelines; reviewing and recommending edits to outside agreements; and ensuring that donors' intentions for making gifts are documented and outlined in accordance with UIF and University administrative procedures and processes.
- Assists in advising development officers, outside advisors, and donors regarding gift documentation and the structure of gifts.
- Collaborates with internal colleagues, such as gift planners, offices of UIF and UI general counsel, UIF gift administration, and university stewardship staff, to resolve issues related to the structure of gifts.
- Assists with training advancement staff on issues related to gift documentation.
- Utilizes technology to prepare and transmit documents and acts as part of team to track details of gift documentation efforts and maintain and validate data for reporting and tracking purposes.
- Maintains knowledge of applicable policies, procedures, and laws, associated with gift agreements and charitable giving.

The starting salary range for this position is projected to be $50,000 - $55,000 per year. While our job postings include salary ranges, your compensation will be based on your specific experience and qualifications—we're not limited by these posted ranges.
