Position Summary
The Visiting Senior Research Specialist works on the Illinois DocAssist Program, which provides consultation, resources, referrals, and education to healthcare providers caring for pediatric and perinatal populations with mental health issues. The role requires comprehensive knowledge of broad mental health issues, support networks, the ability to collect and manage data related to this endeavor and address program marketing.
Duties & Responsibilities
Assists with the management and oversight of staff who are working on specific projects related to resources, referrals, education, marketing Collects and documents data from REDCap and other data sources as part of both research protocol and reporting mandates Oversees IRB management of research projects Presents results and publishes manuscripts Analyzes results and refines data collection procedures and design of studies Serves as an interdisciplinary team member and contributes expertise on pediatric/perinatal mental health, public health messaging, marketing of the program, data analysis, and collaboration with Illinois DocAssist partners Coordinates projects to meet deliverables of grants and contracts Supervises projects to meet deadlines and determine outcomes Attends relevant meetings and conferences, including those requiring overnight and out-of-town stays Develops and coordinates marketing plan for the project Schedules training/workshops for project Provides education to healthcare providers statewide on Illinois Doc Assist programs and processes (some travel required) Facilitates financial reporting Communicates directly with university-specific units and external grant partners to facilitate project work. Assists in developing and implementing protocols and procedures for the program's ongoing operation and improvement Provides presentations to practice groups for outreach and education. Applies for and manages submissions for CME courses. Manages and updates web content, working closely with IT and marketing personnel. Works with a multi-disciplinary team of clinical professionals and academic professionals to develop algorithms, tools, and resources for primary care providers Collaborates closely with the Program Director and Senior Medical Director to ensure project goals are met. When required for staff coverage reasons, performs all tasks of Resource and Referral Specialist and Administrative Aid as needed Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
