Summary:
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Fitness and Wellness, the Pilates Group Fitness Instructor is responsible for teaching Pilates classes to the University of Illinois Springfield community in an educated, responsible, and ethical way.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Certification from a National Fitness Organization
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to conduct safe and effective yoga classes.
Ability to assist individuals in developing a safe and effective exercise program.
Ability to modify exercises for special populations within class.
Good communication skills with clients/participants and supervisor/co-workers.

- Lead structured Pilates classes.
- Assist with the maintenance of Pilates equipment.
- Offer useful, tactful, and safe advice to individuals regarding their Pilates program.
- Inform patrons and assist in the marketing of Campus Recreation sponsored programs and events.
- Enforce all facility and program policies as needed.
