UIC Creative & Digital Services:

UIC Creative & Digital Services (CDS) operates as a full-service agency offering creative services and marketing development strategies to elevate our clients' projects. CDS provides graphic design, printing services, photography and video production services, marketing development, and social media support. Planning an event? CDS will design and print the materials you need, digitally capture your event, and provide images for posting on social media.

Description:

Duties & Responsibilities


  • Assists with development and implementation of marketing plans for Student Affairs and other university departments; assists with determining most effective methods for marketing and communications activities for departments; and interfaces with members of university media and media-related departments.
  • Develops and maintains social media presence on social networking sites; writes, edits, and manages all social media-related content for consistency across all platforms.
  • Analyzes and reports on social media activity and makes recommendations.
  • Assists with managing student staff projects.
  • Assists with periodic marketing research; assists in the development, implementation and tracking of marketing and communications strategies and branding initiatives.
  • Tracks and implements online marketing trends. Collects and reports on various marketing data to reveal insights and impact of efforts.
  • Responsible for continued knowledge gathering on marketing, digital and social media, and related industries, as well as project management and direct customer interface support.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, communications, public relations, or a closely related field.
  • One (1) year (12 months) of professional work experience in marketing, public relations, communications, brand management, or a related professional area.

Note: Master’s Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1) year (12 months) of work experience.



Preferred Qualifications

  • Three years of professional experience working in marketing, public relations, communications, brand management, or a related professional area.
