Salary : The budgeted salary range for the position is $249,406 to $281,677 at the Assistant Professor level and $291,093 to $326,620 at the Associate Professor level. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity.

The Division of PediatricCritical Care, Department of Pediatrics atthe University of Illinois at Chicago is seeking to fill an Open RankFaculty (Pediatric Critical Care) position. Rank / Tenure will becommensurate with experience and qualifications.
The Division provides inpatientcoverage in the Children's Hospital at the University of Illinois, a part of UIHealth, and is the primary teaching hospital of the University of IllinoisChicago and includes all pediatric medical subspecialties and a broad range ofpediatric surgical subspecialties.
The Children's Hospital at theUniversity of Illinois houses a 6 bed PICU and is located in the IllinoisMedical District, 2 miles west of downtown Chicago. The unit cares for medical,pediatric surgical, and subspecialty surgical patients, including craniofacial / plasticsurgery, oromaxillofacial surgery, ENT, and orthopedic surgery patients. It isalso a major transport and transfer referral center for metropolitan Chicagoand surrounding area.
UI Health and Cook County Healthhave formed a Pediatric Partnership for Care since 2021. The Division sharescoverage responsibility between the two institutions. The Cook County HealthJohn H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital houses a 10 PICU, which supports a Level 1 traumaservice and pediatric burn service. Coverage averages 1 week every 4 monthswith reciprocal coverage provided by the 3 physician Pediatric Critical Caredivision at Cook County Health.
Participation in the educationalprogram for medical students, residents, fellows, and nursing and ancillarystaff is essential. There are excellent opportunities for clinical and basicsciences research, educational and administrative activities.
MD / DO or equivalent terminal medical degree.
Unrestricted Illinois medical license or Illinois medical license eligible
Board certification / eligibility in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine and Pediatrics
