Position Summary :
Assist the Associate Director of the Pre-Service andIn-Service Program with overseeing and implementing the daily programmaticoperations, design, and delivery of pre-service and in-service trainings. Thisincludes the direct supervision and oversight of Training and LearningFacilitators, and Senior Training and Learning Facilitators (Trainers).
Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as a program liaison with DCFS, private agency management, and the Office of Learning and Professional Development. Serve on the administrative team of the Pre-Service and In-Service Program and manage operational tasks for a team of Pre-Service and In-Service trainers. Assist the Associate Director with evaluating operational efficiency and effectiveness, curriculum design, making recommendations for change, and implementing approved recommendations. May serve as a trainer and a facilitator for Foundation classes, In-service standalone classes, and special cohorts.
- Provide direct supervision and training to Trainers. Provide programmatic oversight, leadership, training, and
supervision as needed. Ensure the program meets obligatedprogram deliverables and expectations by assisting the Associate Director withthe annual regional and statewide planning and implementation of preservice andin-service training for child welfare specialist professionals. Report toAssociate Director on all programmatic deliverables, development of trainingstaff, and evaluative measures and outcomes related to trainingevents, use of trainers, and outcomes of deliverables.

Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited college or universityin Social Work or a related field, which may be psychology, education, humanservices, humanities, and / or a field of the social sciences or other relateddirect or indirect service practice. Professional experience of five or moreyears in public or child welfare services, with two or more years of supervisoryexperience which included oversight of staff development.
Preferred Qualifications
Three or more years of experience conducting training ina public or private child welfare specialists training program. Licensed Direct Service ChildWelfare Employee (CWEL) under DCFS Rule, Part 412.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to complete multiple tasks and a high volume of work within asetting of frequently competing priorities. Mature, professional attitude andappearance. Openness to continuing professional growth, learning, and enhancementof professional skills. Ability to meet deadlines while producing high-qualitydeliverables. Leadership of multiple staff in a high-paced, multi-locationenvironment. Understanding of Child Welfare organizational related issues andculture. Understanding of Adult Learning, as well as professionaldevelopment techniques and methodologies. A basic understanding of the populationserved by child welfare services, and the roles and duties of child welfarestaff.

Appointment Information
This is a 100% full-time Academic Professional position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after the search closes. The budgeted salary range for the position is $69,000-$76,000.Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience,while also considering internal equity. Hybrid work options may be availablefor this position with the ability to be on-site as needed per the University'sWorkplace Flexibility policy. Sponsorship for work authorization is notavailable for this position.
