Job Description
The University of Indianapolis is seeking applicants for a Marketing & Communications Manager for the Shaheen College of Arts & Sciences. This is a full-time, exempt staff position. This position is housed within the Shaheen College Dean’s Office, serving as an integral member of the College’s strategy to broaden its approach to recruitment and the communication of the accomplishments and activities of its faculty, staff, and students. This position will engage with leadership of the Shaheen College and its constituents on an ongoing basis.
This manager will also engage regularly with the University Communications and Marketing team, ensuring consistency in approach and adherence to brand and marketing standards. The successful candidate develops, implements, and monitors the success of marketing and communications strategies to engage various audiences (external and internal) and oversees the social media presence of the Shaheen College.
Critical to the success of this position is experience in planning and successful project management, integrated marketing communications, persuasive writing and content development, as well as working in collaboration with university leadership, directors, and faculty to impact various audiences.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communications strategies for the Shaheen College of Arts & Sciences.
- Oversee the social media presence for the Shaheen College to ensure alignment with institutional branding.
- Collaborate with Shaheen College leadership, faculty, and University Communications and Marketing to ensure consistency and adherence to brand standards.
- Manage multi-component marketing and communications projects, including creating timelines, managing resources, and meeting deadlines.
- Write and develop persuasive content for a variety of platforms and audiences to showcase accomplishments and activities within the College.
- Work collaboratively with University leadership and creative teams to support departmental and strategic priorities.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in integrated marketing and communications.
- Demonstrated project management experience, including planning, implementation, and tracking of multi-platform campaigns.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with proficiency in Associated Press (AP) style.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proven ability to work effectively with diverse constituencies and in a team environment.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and their strategic use.
- Higher education experience.
- Experience with content management systems (e.g., Cascade CMS, WordPress).
