Position SummaryGreenState's Information Technology department adheres to the corporate values and acts as a business partner who understands the needs of the business, enables business units to meet strategic objectives through technology, and provides employees and members with quality technology platforms that are always available, always relevant, and always scalable.Position Summary : This role is responsible for a large range of tasks, including front and back-end development along with co-developing requirements documents, communication through UAT and documentation of final deliverables. This person leads development initiatives from conception to implementation and will work with business units, testers, IT teammates and external vendors. The candidate should have extensive experience in the financial industry, a strong proficiency in Microsoft technologies and languagesincluding but not limited to SQL, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and C#. This individual will have a proven track record of successfully delivering projects within an Agile / Scrum framework.GreenState Culture : At GreenState, we exist to create lasting value for those we serve. This position does offer remote capability.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerforms essential duties and responsibilities in the following areas which may include but are not limited to those listed and are subject to change.Adheres to the Credit Union's core values and Service Standards in conducting GreenState's mission and vision.Demonstrates a positive member service (internal and external) focus at all times.Demonstrates teamwork in all interactions with coworkers and in the completion of all duties and responsibilities.Ensures confidentiality of member information.Supports a diverse and inclusive work environment.Gains understanding of user needs on a continuous basis to develop, test, deploy, and modify code.Ensures proper utility is available for front-end development; through assessing all aspects of databases, servers, and applications present in the back-end.Integrates APIs, completes code review, and provides documentation throughout all development phases.Transforms design layouts and wireframes into usable front-end functionality through developing, troubleshooting, and revising code.Makes certain that application interfaces are user-friendly; including optimal accessibility, navigation, and cross-browser performance.Liaisons with other developers and system admins to ensure interrelated processes and dependencies are accounted for.Utilizes and has knowledge of tools and resources including, but not limited to, Python, SQL, JSON, CSS, JavaScript, and HTML (experience with Ruby, PHP and Drupal beneficial).Serves as a mentor for other developers.Ideates with other developers, IT teammates, PM and stakeholders for solutioning.Stays up to date with the latest trends, technologies and best practices in development.Job Requirements / ExpectationsDegree in computer science, engineering, or a relevant technical field or equivalent work experience.Minimum 2-4 years of related experience required.Handles complex issues and problems and is able to assist in troubleshooting other teammates' work.Performs work under moderate to minimal supervision.Proficiency in multiple front-end programming languages and libraries (e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery)Proficiency in multiple back-end programming languages and frameworks (e.g. Python, Java, C#, Node.js)Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL) and web servers (e.g. Apache, Nginx)Experience with Agile development methodologies and toolsStrong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skillsExcellent communication and teamwork abilitiesAttention to detail and strong organizational skillsPassion for staying up-to-date with the latest web technologies and trendsReporting RelationshipThis position reports to the IT Director Data Services & Development.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position is not responsible for the supervision of others.Equal Opportunity Employment StatementGreenState Credit Union is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
