Specific Job Duties and Tasks :
- Develop messaging and strategies, consistent with university and college brand.
- Develop communications to specific audiences on behalf of the Office of the Dean, including colleagues, alumni, donors, and legislators.
- Collaborate with the UI Office of Strategic Communication (OSC) to ensure brand and message integration.
- Track progress towards goals and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing communications and paid advertising efforts to target audiences.
- Recommend and implement optimizations for improvement.
- Create and oversee implementation of a strategic marketing plan and vision.
- Assess progress toward marketing and communication goals.
- Develop and implement college-wide positioning and messaging to ensure brand quality and consistency across platforms.
- Keep on top of marketing trends and implement when appropriate.
- Determine content, themes and be responsible for the publication and distribution of all College of Law communications.
- Centrally coordinate recurring communication from the Dean including monthly messages to internal and external constituencies, including prompts and talking points.
- Manage project timeline in coordination with external publishing vendor.
- Create processes internally to ensure on-time completion of editorial content developed within the College of Law.
- Determine and track budget for all marketing efforts.
- Supervise staff and student workers.
- Develop and direct projects based on College of Law marketing and communications plan, budget, and operations.
