Description
The University of Iowa Institute for Clinical and Translational Science (ICTS) Research Coordinator Core is seeking a Clinical Trials Research Assistant to be an integral member of the research team in the ICTS and the Department of Family Medicine. This position will provide support for these departments by performing activities which are vitally important to establish the research core for the department, as well as to grow and foster innovation through research support endeavors. The clinical trial research assistant / data manager will apply clinical skills to administer, deliver, and evaluate research protocols.
Duties to include but not limited to :
- Perform clinical / health care research activities in the Department of Family Medicine.
- Monitor our site participating in a PCORI Study, which is a large multi-site clinical trial.
- Assist in the design, development, execution, administration and maintenance of protocols and clinical studies and provide input into descriptions of complex research procedures.
- Assist participants with problems related to protocol.
- Participate in the design; development and testing of clinical research trial data systems.
- Acts as a liaison between health care clinical information systems and research data systems.
- Manage and organize regulatory documentation.
- Prepare regulatory submissions.
