Position Summary :
A Systems Administrator participates in the design, implementation, configuration, and support of Citrix technologies at an enterprise level. In this role, they will be primarily responsible for managing, maintaining, and monitoring Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix Application Delivery Controller (ADC), Citrix Workspace App, Citrix Cloud technologies and Dell Hardware
This individual will need to resolve incidents and outage situations that may impact the services for institution in a timely manner and give detailed updates during prolonged events.
This position will support Citrix technologies used by the UI Community Connect program, which extends our Epic applications to regional hospitals and clinics.
This position is eligible to participate in remote work. Remote work MUST be performed at a location within the state of Iowa. Successful candidates who participate in remote work must comply with requirements of the remote work program and related policies.
Position Responsibilities :
- Support Citrix Technologies including Virtual apps and desktops, Application Delivery Controller (ADC), Citrix Cloud / Hybrid Cloud infrastructure.
- Support Microsoft Hyper-V environment, including Virtual Machine Manager (VMM).
- Monitor systems with Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM).
- Manage and configure Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
- Install and maintain enterprise-class Windows servers and all related processes, security policies and virus protection, tuning, capacity planning, and monitoring of all resources to ensure high availability of all services provided.
- Develop scripts for automation of systems tasks.
- Configure and support VMware virtual servers.
- Follow ITIL and change management processes within the division.
- Write install, setup and procedure documentation for peers and staff .
- Write and document test plans for system upgrades and maintenance.
- Monitor capacity, performance, and licensing utilization.
- Troubleshoot and provide problem resolution for complex server issues including hardware and software of systems.
- Provide 24 x 7 On-Call support including the scheduled rotation and unscheduled incident response .
- Manage and participate in projects as assigned, and work with team members across the company to deliver projects on time. This may require the individual to lead the projects.
- Consults with vendor technical experts to determine architecture, topology, and project requirements.
- Provide leadership in areas of expertise.
- Assist in developing ideas for presentations to senior management.
- Provide direction, assignments, feedback, coaching and counseling to assure outcomes are achieved.

Qualifications
Education Required
Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.
