Description
Key Roles and Responsibilities :
Retrieving and summarizing data and information from literature searches and research studies.
Assisting faculty with the preparation of grants, book chapters, manuscripts, and all other scientific presentation materials (e.g., presentations, posters, abstracts).
Development and implementation of scientific data.
Write and edit high quality medical journals, abstracts.
Write papers, articles and brochures, and regulatory documents.
Required Qualifications
Education :
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Life Sciences, Research, Journalism or Pharmaceutical industry. Education may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Experience used to substitute education is in addition to any required work experience.
Work Experience :
Minimum three (3) years of writing experience in healthcare, research, or pharmaceutical industry.
Preferred Qualifications
Education :
Master's or Ph.D. in Biology, Life Sciences, Research, Journalism or Pharmaceutical industry.
Work Experience :
Minimum four (4) years of writing experience in healthcare, research, or pharmaceutical industry.
Knowledge and experience with medical terminology.

Compensation Statement :
The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
