Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science Position Title: Clinical Instructor, Physical Therapy Job Family Group: Academic Job Description Summary: Clinical Instructor for courses within the DPT program and the Human Anatomy course for the School of Health Professions (SHP) in Summer. Assist as a co-instructor for students through teaching, lab demonstrations, gross anatomy dissections, and assessment of student learning. Will also assist on a clinical research project, details TBD. Job Description:
Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree in physical therapy, human ecology or kinesiology.
prior teaching experience in PT courses and gross anatomy.
A demonstrated understanding of principles of human anatomy.
Ability to provide novice students with clear and supportive guidance.
Active US PT license
Preferred qualifications
Active Kansas PT license
Clinical practice experience as a PT
Job duties
Responsible for lab preparation and working with course TAs prior to each laboratory session in Anatomy and PT courses
Interact directly with students during class sessions to facilitate learning and answer questions
Participate in training and provide intervention sessions for clinical research study
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
