Job Description Summary:
Proctors support the academic integrity of the Academic Accommodation Office by monitoring the testing area while students take exams in a distraction-reduced setting with or without extended time. Proctors not only monitor the testing locations but report any suspicious activity to the Testing Services Manager. Proctors are on-call and may be called in emergencies with short notice.
This is a PRN hourly position.
Job Description:
Job Duties:

Maintain test security to ensure confidentiality and integrity of test materials and test procedures

Be active and alert during shifts to ensure students comply with academic integrity

Consistently maintain the confidentiality of students receiving accommodations
-
Arrive at least 15 minutes before a scheduled proctoring shift and complete the full duration of the shift unless otherwise notified
-
Assist in removing/preventing distractions or loud noises during testing times
-
Reporting any suspicious behavior to the Testing Services Manager

Abide by overall University policies and procedures
- Maintain a professional and pleasant attitude to create an environment for optimal test performance for all examinees
Required Qualifications
Education: High School diploma or GED equivalency and must be at least 18 years old by hire date.

Compensation Statement:
The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
