The GME Residency and Fellowship Coordinator serves as an integral member of the department and sponsoring institution in its mission of oversight and monitoring of accreditation requirements and resident/fellow training. The GME Coordinator offers support to the Director of Accreditation, Clinical Learning and Review (CLER) and Wellness. This position also supports the GME Program Managers in all onboarding and orientation functions.
Job Description:
Required Qualifications
BA or BS degree or equivalent experience in academic healthcare setting. Three years or more experience in an office or education environment using computer-based systems. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
Two years or more experience in Graduate Medical Education. Certification of Training Administrators of Graduate Medical Education (C-TAGME). Prior experience with MedHub or other Residency Management System software.
Description of Job Duty
Oversight of all outside resident or fellow rotators to include onboarding and scheduling
Work with Parent Institution to ensure rotators meet the standards for rotation completion and work hour requirements
Oversight of rotator conference schedule
Tracks rotator vacation, sick and other times away and reports to Parent Institution on a monthly basis
Participates in recruitment, onboarding and orientation as needed
Supports the GME Office in all aspects of the Institutional Accreditation Process and Requirements
Assists with the oversight of Program Accreditation
Monitors and ensures compliance with ACGME Annual Resident, Fellow and Faculty surveys
Assists with the updates and posting of GME Policy and Procedure manual
Assists with GMEC providing administrative support to GMEC and GMEC subcommittees for meeting logistics, scheduling and communication
Prepare and distribute GMEC and GMEC subcommittee agendas and minutes including preparation of meeting attachments and reports
Prepare documents for internal site visit meetings, program reviews and ACGME site visits
Collects background data (board scores, ITE scores, survey results, project database) and assist with Chair Report Cards
Assists with documentation preparation for periodic and Special Reviews and meeting organization
Attends department, program and coordinator meetings relevant to position
Assists with website updates and social media postings
Assists with onboarding of all incoming residents and fellows
Assists with orientation of all incoming residents and fellows
Assists with graduation activities as residents and fellows complete their training
