Job Duties
Residency Program Administrative Support - 50%
Provide general administrative support to the program directors, residents, and faculty.
Coordinate residency meetings.
Prepare / distribute materials for conferences and lectures.
Prepare intern orientation handouts, create information packets, scheduling of orientation activities.
Coordinate residency recruitment logistics.
Ensure timely tracking and data entry for schedules, procedures, evaluations, attendance, leave, duty hours and other requested reports.
Assist the Internal Medicine and Pediatrics coordinators with their respective residency graduation planning.
Sort incoming and interoffice mail and distribute to faculty, staff, and department.
Manage, monitor, and communicate budget and cost information for items related to the residency and fellowship program to the department director and program directors.
Manage resident / fellow six-month and end of year reviews with program directors and associate program directors.
Supervision of residency training records for current and former residents to be used for residency verification requests.
Work with the respective Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residency coordinators to develop Med / Peds rotation schedules ensuring compliance with ACGME requirements.
Maintain appropriate information on department website to professionally represent the program and provide accurate information to applicants.
Program Accreditation – 30%
Facilitate ACGME-related communications, including site visits, compliance, and required institutional responses in coordination with program director.
Ensure all documentation to the ACGME reported on the accreditation data system is accurate and up to date to maintain accreditation and safeguard that missing or incorrect data does not prompt a site visit.
Stay up to date on all regulatory standards and ACGME requirements.
Compile and submit reports to regulatory agencies as required confirming training standards are being met.
Residency Liaison – 20%
Serve as a liaison between the Internal Medicine Department and the Wesley Medical Center Graduate Medical Education Office.
Assists with the preparation of night / weekend call schedules for the page operators.
Prepares, distributes, and collects weekly census cards for all resident rotations at Wesley.
Ensures that all Medical Students working within the Wesley environment have completed hospital orientation and all other hospital-related requirements as outlined in the hospital agreement with medical school.

The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
