Position will serve as a full time parking garage attendent for the University of Kansas Medical Center Parking Services division.
Job Description:
70% Revenue Management
Collects parking tickets and associated parking fees. Counts and verifies cash amounts collected. Ensures the operating cash amounts are maintained according to department policy. Makes deposits. Collects and completes deposit and collected ticket debit forms. Operates an electronic cash register. Observes deposit drops.
25% Customer Service
Provides assistance to patients, visitors, faculty and staff. Performs customer service duties to include information dissemination to co-workers, employees, faculty, patients and visitors.
5% Other Duties
Performs general surveillance including operating video surveillance equipment, when needed. Reports suspicious activities to Police Communication Center for follow-up, when necessary. Completes and submits incident reports. Participates in the training of new garage attendants, when necessary. Answers telephones. Attends monthly meetings and training sessions, as required. Performs other duties as requested.
** Required Qualifications **
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
***This postiion will require the employee to work either both weekend days or at least one day on the weekend***
** Preferred Qualifications **
Six (6) months experience as a cashier.
