Physical Requirements | The physical requirements of this position will include: occasional standing and/or walking with objects up to 25lbs; regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods with regular repetitive motions (such as typing); and occasional (<30% of the time) job related travel. |
Shift | Primarily Monday-Friday 8 am to 5 pm with possible evenings and weekends depending on departmental needs. |
Job Summary | The Business Development Assistant will work with the business development, billing, contracting, payment, and marketing/communications teams of the Kentucky Regional Extension Center (REC). This position will include: Event Planning and planning REC Annual Conference including venue and food selection, sponsorship coordination, timeline management, speaker coordination, and all logistics, implementing the workflow of the sales and billing process; intake calls and leads of potential clients; managing client record information; providing administrative assistance on travel, scheduling, etc. as needed; utilizing various time tracking systems including Kronos, Harvest, Salesforce; initiating contracts for clients; converting paper data to electronic; assisting in the contract management process; working with project managers to provide necessary marketing materials; managing social media. |
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service, organization and communication skills; and the ability to cooperate with fellow team members and co-workers. Salesforce, Excel, Word, PowerPoint experience preferred. |
