MSN for Nurse Practitioners or BS for Physician Assistants

No experience required.

Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C)

The physical requirements for this position include regularly sitting, standing, walking, with some pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects weighing up to 10lbs and occasional pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects up to 50lbs.

Day shift, 40 hours per week; other hours/shifts as needed.

The APP functioning within the wound care clinic setting works in collaboration with, and is an integral member of, a multidisciplinary health care team. The APP functions primarily in the clinic managing the care of acute and chronically ill patients related to wound care and healing.

The APP is generally on a service aligned team and manages the care of the outpatient with the team and may include procedures. In some instances the APP may have responsibilities for this same patient population in the consultative inpatient setting or serves a resource for the inpatient care team. The APP has a strong foundation in evidenced based practice and education and has a responsibility for ensuring an environment of safe quality care.

The APP demonstrates an advanced level of medical and nursing knowledge, clinical and technical competency, sound clinical judgment, professionalism as it relates to interpersonal and general communication skills, timely and compliant documentation, and takes responsibility for ongoing professional development and competency validation.
