Physical Requirements | This position requires regularly lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds; intermittently sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing); working in confined spaces; and occasionally lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing more than 50 pounds; and standing/walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Also involves some job-related travel (less than 10% of time) and exposure to loud noises, temperature extremes, and CRT (>50% of the time). |

Job Summary | The successful Field Service Technician/UKHC will perform entry level tasks in support of the end user computing environment for UK Healthcare. Primary duties include tasks such as installing hardware and applications, performing rounds to proactively identify problems, and basic project task work. Microsoft MTA: IT Infrastructure or CompTIA A certifications are required within one year of hire date. |
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | Microsoft Enterprise Desktop Support; MacOS Experience; troubleshooting experience on various computing devices including workstations, laptops, mobile devices, printers, telephones, etc. |

Preferred Education/Experience | Associate degree and specialized/technical experience such as drafting; reading and understanding electrical schematics and technical manuals; and computer operations highly preferred. |
