Job Summary | This role serves as the front-line support specialist in the Learning Management System (Canvas). Problem-solving, technical support, and exhibiting a customer service mindset to resolve issues in a timely manner is imperative. This position aides in the coordination of crucial aspects of pre-semester online course delivery and term launch requirements. Ensuring that quality courses are rendered in the learning management system on time, and live course issues are resolved timely, requires a professional that is technologically advanced and pivots quickly with solutions and implementations. This specialist role provides support for escalated faculty LMS issues that cannot be resolved by other available technical support means. Working daily within the CoSW’s LMS ticketing system will be required, as well as adherence to all reporting structures and quality assurance metrics. These efforts facilitate a consistent workflow across CoSW’s instructional tech and design unit, as well as with faculty and administration. Establishing effective baselines for course and service improvements and continually building momentum in semester workflows are necessary. The specialist follows directives from administration and internal stakeholders to ensure proper LMS infrastructure and stays abreast of all related industry innovations necessary to enhance the CoSW LMS student experience. Strategic launch processes, term course rollout preparations, and bulk automations are essential for scalability each semester. Instructional design and ed tech initiatives, as well as quality assurance responsibilities, may be delegated to this position under the supervision of the AD of Teaching & Learning. |
