Job Summary | The Schock lab in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry is seeking a laboratory technician with a strong desire to learn molecular and developmental biology. You will be an integral member of our newly established team and aid in the advancement of research efforts focused on understanding the causes of human congenital diseases associated with the craniofacial complex. The work for this position includes embryo husbandry, standard molecular biology/biochemistry techniques such as PCR, cloning, and western blot, and solution preparation. Based upon experience and time, work may also involve sample inventory and data organization. Organization stills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instruction are critical. Individuals who are looking to gain 1-2 years of lab experience before applying to graduate/professional programs are highly encouraged to apply. Competitive salary will be based on experience. |
